Registration dates set for Parks Dixie
The Parks Field Dixie Youth baseball league in Summerville will register players at the Cuthbert Community Center in Azalea Park in front of the tennis courts off of Main Street.
Signup will take place on Feb. 2 and 9 at 9 a.m.-noon and Feb. 4-5 at 6-8 p.m. Baseball registration is for players who ages 4-19 as of May 1. The cost is $60, $50 for any additional children from the same family.

Carolina Fury to hold tryouts
The Carolina Fury baseball program will hold individual tryouts to fill a few roster spots.
For 11-U individual tryout, contact Ray Godin at 568-6618 to set up a date and time. For 12-U tryout, contact Frank O'Rourke at 343-3580. For 9-U or 13-U tryout, contact David Shelton at 729-4371.
Challenger baseball announces signup
The South Carolina Little League District II has begun tregistration for its Challenger Division, which provides the opportunity for children with mental and physical disabilities to play baseball.
This league, for kids ages 5-17, costs $25 per player. Registration forms can be obtained by calling Zap Rook at 708-7665 and must be returned by March 8.
Games will be held at Summerville Little League Ballfield, Crowfield Ballfield and Felkel Field in Goose Creek.
