Graham to switch to S.C. church
Tuesday, December 30, 2008
DALLAS — Evangelist Billy Graham is changing membership from a Dallas church to one near his retirement home in South Carolina.
First Baptist Dallas said Monday the church was told by Graham's personal assistant that the 90-year-old was switching to First Baptist Church of Spartanburg.
Graham joined First Baptist Dallas in 1953. The Rev. Robert Jeffress told the newspaper the church will "always treasure the relationship with Graham," The Dallas Morning News reported in its online edition.
The pastor of First Baptist Spartanburg, the Rev. Don Wilton, has preached for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

That is just dumb news. I guess the PnC needed to fill some space.
Dr. Graham, no doubt has suffered a brain freeze, why "offically" change churches after 55 years?
Sad indeed.

It may be dumb news to you, but he is a famous man, and some people are interested to know this. Why did you read or comment if you are not interested? He could be changing churches because he plans to spend more time here now. He is 90 years old.

Jim, Jim, Jim... I'll bite. Please enlighten us as to what scam/crime has ever been associated with Billy Graham? The man's life is above reproach, and you won't find anyone more cynical than me in both Carolinas.
