Fight at club leads to fatal shooting
Sunday, December 28, 2008
LYNCHBURG — A 24-year-old man has been killed and three other people injured after a fight led to a shooting at a Lee County nightclub.
Coroner Alford Elmore told The Item of Sumter that Laverne Toney was shot several times in the stomach early Friday morning and died before he arrived at the hospital.
Sheriff's Maj. Daniel Simon said several men came to BJ's Lounge near Lynchburg and began arguing with someone at the club.
Simon said at least one shot was fired in the club and several more rounds were fired outside.
Authorities said three other people were wounded, but their injuries were not life-threatening.

Some people ask the dumbest questions....thats like a black person asking why white people dress up like santa and kill a bunch of people at one time at a Christmas party

bigface there's far more blacks killing each other a year than whites, two just today, two yesterday, and so on...
we'd have to have at least two of those santa parties a week to keep up...
even the messiah, the obamanation, has addressed this very same issue with an open honest confrontation
something needs to be done to stem this tide but no one seems to know what...

If I was trying to make a good impression I'd feel a bit uncomfortable telling a first date, "I am taking you to the BJ Lounge!"

When a white person kills it is usually more than one person. Most serial killers are who? White men. But yes, black men kill each other at an alarming rate. I can't think of the last time that a white person killed a black person in the Tri-County???
The young black men today are a different breed from when I grew up. We use to fight with fists but today they settle their differences with a gun.
There is also the destruction of the black family where there is no father figure in the house anymore and most of the young black men today have serious anger issues!
I can go on and on but life is about choices and consequences. You take someone's life then you have to suffer the consequences!

What's all the fuss about, just another typical Saturday night at a juke joint?
