Neglected 9-year-old in need of holiday cheer
Nine-year-old Jenny is living in a children's shelter due to neglect.
Jenny knows her mother has not taken steps to regain custody of her, and she feels abandoned.
Your donation to the Good Cheer Fund can help Jenny have a happy holiday season despite the mistreatment she's endured in the past.
Every cent of each donation to the Good Cheer Fund is given to six local charities: The Salvation Army, Star Gospel Mission, Association for the Blind, Catholic Charities, Carolina Youth Development Center, and Lowcountry Food Bank. There are no overhead or administrative costs involved.
Send your contribution today to the Good Cheer Fund, c/o The Post and Courier, 134 Columbus St., Charleston, S.C. 29403-4800.
Contributions received by 12 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008 will be listed in The Post and Courier on or before December 25, 2008.
