Parents of 4 looking for some help to make ends meet
Believing that the Lowcountry would offer better employment opportunities, Jack and Sarah moved to this area 18 months ago with their four children. Jobs were not as plentiful as they had hoped.
Sarah works in a fast-food restaurant and Jack, a mechanic, is paid per repair job. The couple is having trouble making ends meet, and wants to provide only the basics for their family this holiday season.
Every cent of each donation to the Good Cheer Fund is given to six local charities: The Salvation Army, Star Gospel Mission, Association for the Blind, Catholic Charities, Carolina Youth Development Center and Lowcountry Food Bank. There are no overhead or administrative costs involved. Also, funds are not distributed to any individual or organization outside the Good Cheer Fund agencies.
Send your contribution today to the Good Cheer Fund, c/o The Post and Courier, 134 Columbus St., Charleston, SC 29403-4800. Any amount could help make Christmas a little brighter for somebody less fortunate, like Jack and Sarah.
