Bud Light getting makeover in 2009
MILWAUKEE — Bud Light, the nation's best-selling beer, is giving its cans and bottles a makeover next year, with a focus on the color blue.
In March, Bud Light brewer Anheuser-Busch will launch new cans and bottles dominated by a vibrant blue, pulling away from a blue and red combination. The change comes as analysts say more people are buying beer instead of wine and spirits.

Calling Bud Light "beer" is being awfully generous. But I guess calling it a "pale, malt-like substance suitable for women or chugging afer mowing the lawn" would be too long to fit on the bottle.

Rather than focus on the exterior color, they might want to focus on the interior taste...

For you folks that like a more robust flavor, by all means get a pint of stout, or one of those silly micro brewery concoctions or what ever, but BL must have some appeal since it is a big seller. I drink BL and I drink a lot of it and its lightness and lower alcohol content suits me just fine. I don't give a hoot about packaging, since I like to drink mine out of a cold glass - just keep the content the same.
