TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY: 6:30 p.m. Summerville Town Hall, 200 S. Main St., Summerville. The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, presented by the Flowertown Garden Club, will feature performances by the Summerville High School Band and Chorus and remarks by the mayor. Call 871-6000.

MOUNT PLEASANT SPECIAL TOWN COUNCIL MEETING: Noon at Conference Room 103, Muncipal Complex, 100 Anne Edwards Lane. Mount Pleasant Town Council will review operations and maintenance cost for the Memorial Waterfront Park and a proposal to charge for parking.
