Dorchester Dems

Dorchester Democrats will hold its Breakfast Meeting on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Sweetwater Grill, 103 S. Main St., Summerville. A $10 fee includes food and beverages.

Fleet Reserve

Fleet Reserve Association Branch 269 holds its General Assembly meeting 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Lowcountry Home, 99 Wisteria Road, Goose Creek. The board of directors meets at 6 p.m. Membership is open to active, reserve, veteran and retired enlisted members of the sea services: Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.

NARFE 72

National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, Chapter 72, will meet Friday at Cherokee Place United Methodist Church, Rivers and Cosgrove avenues.

The meeting begins at 11 a.m., with speaker Kate Terbben at 11:30 a.m. She will speak on services provided by the Trident Agency on Aging. A covered dish luncheon will follow at noon. All federal employees, retirees and their spouses are invited. Call 571-0909.

Professionals

International Association of Administrative Professionals Charleston Chapter will meet Aug. 18 at North Charleston Police Department, 4900 Lacross Road.

Dinner is at 6 p.m. The cost is $10. RSVP to Sue Frost at 202-6776 by Aug. 15. A free program begins at 6:45 p.m.

The South Carolina Motorcycle Rights Association meets on the third Sunday every month at Richards Auto in downtown Summerville on U.S. Highway 78 at 11:30 a.m. Visit www.scmra.org.

Legion Post 166

American Legion Post 166, Goose Creek, holds its membership meeting 7:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
