Freeway crash badly injures two

A crash on Interstate 26 in North Charleston sent two people to the hospital in critical condition early this morning, officials said.

North Charleston firefighters were dispatched to the wreck on the eastbound lanes between University Boulevard and the U.S. 52 Connector at 2:27 a.m., Fire Battalion Chief Eric Phillips said. Two people were ejected from vehicles and suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, Phillips said.

The Highway Patrol was investigating.

Get this I was coming down Ashley Phosphate rd at quitting time and traffic was usual stop and go stop and go to I-26. This freaking moron decided he just couldn't wait so he drove down the median and at the stall rd red light cut over in traffic at hauling butt speeds I might add all the way to I26 where he swirved over to the far rt to get on I26 west bound! I called 911 but the guy was going so fast I couldn't get his tag #.
Slow down people and wear your seat belts! This is why people die!
