Charleston Police are looking for the man in the gray sweatshirt who attempted to rob the First Federal Bank on Savannah Highway earlier today.

A man went into the First Federal bank, 855 Savannah Highway, across the street from the Coburg cow and passed the teller a note. He implied that he had a gun, but never produced one, according to Charles Francis, the department's public information officer.

The teller read the note and asked the suspect "What?" The suspect then ran out of the bank with out getting any money.

No one was injured, Francis said. The suspect is described as a white male with dark hair, age 30-35, wearing a gray sweatshirt with a white shirt underneath and dark pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Charleston Police Department at 577-7434 or Crime Stoppers at 554-111.
