Toque times two

Chef Frank Lee, executive chef at Slightly North of Broad and vice president of culinary development for Maverick Southern Kitchens, will put another pleat in his chef's toque as he assumes the executive chef position at the Old Village Post House in Mount Pleasant. Lee will work closely with the staff there while continuing all of his responsibilities at SNOB.

The Post House also has announced a change in hours of service:

Lunch will be available for groups and special events; nightly dinner service and Sunday brunch remain on the menu as does the weekday (Monday-Friday) happy hour in the tavern. Dinner is served daily starting at 5:30 p.m., and Sunday brunch is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more info, reservations or private functions, call 388-8935 or visit www.oldvillageposthouse.com.

The Old Village Post House is located at 101 Pitt St. in Mount Pleasant; Slightly North of Broad is located at 192 East Bay St., and reservations can be made by calling 723-3424.

Pig out or pig in

Moneyhun's is open for "que." Ribs, barbecue, sandwiches and more (beer, wine, soft drinks and homemade banana pudding) can be found at 1757 Clements Ferry Road. Open Wednesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; closed Sunday; call for hours on Monday and Tuesday. The phone number is 856-1744.

How sweet it is

Small batch baking just up the street from Hominy Grill and Restaurant Lana makes for a sweet ending after a meal at either of these two restaurants. Visit Sugar, a bake shop located at 59 1/2 Cannon St., call 579-2891 or visit www.sugarbake.com to find out how to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Pry one open

The Crow Bar at The Boathouse at Breach Inlet opened March 28. Toast the sunset for weekends only until April 30. Starting May 1, the restaurant's regular season opens with live music on the menu Monday through Thursday. For more information, visit www.boathouserestaurants.com.

Coming soon

East Bay Deli has plans to open new locations in North Charleston and Mount Pleasant. Stay tuned for opening dates of the popular deli and salad bar.

New location

King Street Grille opened its third location at Freshfields Village at Kiawah on Johns Island. Meatball sliders and Thai chicken skewers are new on the menu, and beer and drink specials will quench the thirst of the island crown. Their new location is 679 Freshfields Village. Satisfy your cravings

Crave has opened in the Seaside Farms Shops. Located in the recently vacated Just Fresh space, Crave is serving brunch, lunch and dinner along with happy-hour specials. The Seaside Farms Shops are located off the Isle of Palms connector. Look for Crave at 1968 Riviera Drive, Mount Pleasant. For more info, call 884-1177. It is closed Mondays.
