Charleston Stage

This prestigious fund raiser for local theater company Charleston Stage takes place tonight at the Gaillard.

Charleston's premier chefs will be preparing a three-course meals paired with wines.

Tickets cost $185 per person.

Page's Okra Grill

Billy's Back Home is now doing business as Page's Okra Grill at 794 Coleman Blvd. in Mount Pleasant.

'Kids Week'

Just Fresh has partnered with local charity organization Louie's Kids and has been celebrating Kids Week this week.

It continues today and Friday at the store's Belle Hall site at 625 Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant.

Live music and entertainment will be presented on the patio Friday beginning at 6 p.m. Daily discounts will be available on Just Fresh's new "Kids Menu."

Winedinewine

Avondale Wine and Cheese, 813-B Savannah Highway in West Ashley will host a wine and art party 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 9.

The cost is $15 for members and $20 nonmembers. The works of Betsey Carter, porcelain potter will be featured. Unique wines and cheeses will be paired for your eating pleasure.

Soif, 357 North Shelmore Blvd., a wonderful wine shop (with a tapas, cheese and wine bar soon to open) has set up shop at I'On in Mount Pleasant. You get a chance to taste before you buy.

Lady Fingers

Lady Fingers has opened in West Ashley at 1836 Ashley River Rd., Unit F, a space formerly occupied by Charleston Engravers.

Co-owners, Stacy Butler and Heather Post specialize in wedding and made-to-order cakes, homemade marshmallows, fudge, sweet potato pie, cookies and peanut brittle.

Savannah Highway just may be renamed "Sweet Street" as it is also home to Sublime Pies, Roccoco and Ashley Bakery.

McCrady's

McCrady's has announced the hiring of Peter Lamb as banquet manager for service and staff.

Lamb comes to Charleston from The Inn at Perry Hall in St. Michaels, Md.
