KIDBUSTER MOVIES: Ages 6 to 11 are invited to the Main Library, 68 Calhoun St., at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday for "Sesame Street Presents a Magical Halloween Adventure." 805-6930.

STORY TIME: Folly Beach Library, 55 Center St., has a story followed by the movie "Max & Ruby's Halloween" at 10 a.m. Wednesday. 588-2001.

SPOOKY SPLASH: The Mount Pleasant Recreation Department is having a Spooky Splash at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the R.L. Jones Center. Admission is $3. Floats are welcome. Inner tubes and Halloween treats will be provided. 884-2528 or townofmountpleasant.com.

HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA: St. Paul's Academy has its 28th annual Halloween Extravaganza on Friday, and Oct. 26-27 at 5139 Gibson Road, Hollywood. Admission is $5 per adult. Parking is free. Gates open at 6 p.m. Hayrides start at dark. Advance tickets available online. 889-1330 or stpaulsacademy.org.

GHOSTLY TIDE: The Isle of Palms will show the movie "Monster House" at 7:30 p.m. Friday on the beach at 1118 Ocean Blvd. Parking is available in city lots. Participants should bring blankets, lawn chairs, nonalcoholic beverages and refreshments. Free. 886-8294 or iop.net.

KIDSTORIES!: Storyteller Tim Lowry tells tales of haunts and hags of South Carolina at a child-friendly program at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Charleston Museum. Free with regular admission. 722-2996.

MOVIE MATINEE: At 4 p.m. Monday, the John's Island Library, 3531 Maybank Highway, is showing "Monster House." 559-1945.
