Denise Thompson has joined Glasspro Inc. as an internal sales representative. Previously, she held various administrative positions and attended Trident Technical College.

Banking

Bobby Green has joined Bank of America as a mortgage loan officer. Previously, he worked for Countrywide Mortgage. He is a graduate of Charleston Southern University.

Engineering

Alan D. Lail has joined the Charleston office of Arcadis G&M Inc. as manager of the buildings engineering department. He has more than 25 years of engineering and management experience and previously worked for CRG Engineering. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University.

Financial

Jennifer Frye and Kristofer Olson have joined CommonPoint Financial Inc. Frye is president of the company's Islands Group and Olson is vice president of sales for the Islands Group.

Landscape

Tim Marsac and Joe Parkison have joined The Greenery LLC of Daniel Island.

Marsac is director of marketing. He has more than eight years of marketing experience.

Parkison is a construction supervisor. He has more than five years of concrete construction experience in Atlanta

Marketing

Jonsie Evans has joined Grand Ideas Inc. as event-marketing director. Previously, she worked for more than six years at Corder Philips in Charlotte. She is a graduate of the University of the South.

Medical

Dr. Gail L. Rearden has joined Roper St. Francis Healthcare practicing internal and geriatric medicine at the company's North Charleston facility. She holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Duke University, a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, and completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Susan M. Ivey has joined Carolina Center for Occupational Health as director, marketing and technical services. She has more than 18 years of experience in industrial hygiene, safety and occupational medicine.

Personal Services

Erin Hall has joined Wellspring Fitness and Massage in downtown Charleston as a licensed massage therapist. She holds a diploma in advanced therapeutic massage from Miller-Motte Technical College.

Real Estate

J. Marie Glover has been named a real estate agent in the Summerville office of Weichert Realtors-Dean-Kelby. She remains office manager. She has experience in construction, bridal modeling/sales and education.

Jennifer Hollowell and Henry Fishburne have joined the Mount Pleasant office of Carolina Sun GMAC Real Estate.

Hollowell holds a degree in psychology from Framingham State College in Massachusetts. Fishburne previously was a landscape contractor in the Charleston area.

Retail

Jason Tenney has been named area manager for the Charleston market for Mattress Firm Inc. He joined the company in 2003 and has been a store manager, market trainer and customer service rep in Kansas City and Orlando, Fla.

Restaurant

John Hall has joined the Fat Hen as a chef on the lunch crew. Previously, he was banquet chef at Fish, chef de cuisine at Coast and also worked at 39 Rue de Jean.

Sports

Melissa McCants has been promoted to director of special events for the Charleston RiverDogs. Previously, she was assistant director of special events and director of community relations. Before joining the club, she was director of sports marketing for the College of Charleston and business manager for McCants Dental Art Inc. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and co-owner of Here's the Deal LLC.
