Joanne Russ, an account manager for PMI, has been named Associate/Affiliate of the Year by the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas.

The Citadel School of Business Administration has been named one of the nation's top 290 business schools by the Princeton Review.

David G. Jennings, an attorney with Rosen Rosen & Hagood LLC, has been named the 2007 Ambassador for Economic Development for Charleston County by Gov. Mark Sanford.

Ernie Passailaigue, executive director of the South Carolina Education Lottery, has been named president of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries.

Timothy W. Bouch of Leath Bouch & Crawford LLP of Charleston has been elected chair-elect of the tort trial and insurance practice section of the American Bar Association.

Kenneth Dyal of Lowcountry Monuments LLC in Summerville has been elected to the board of directors of the Monument Builders of the Carolinas.

ServiceMaster of Charleston was named a Franchisee of the Year for South Carolina by the International Franchise Association.

Lowcountry Orphan Relief has named its board of directors through 2009: Byron Davis, Fisher Price (retired), chairman; Grange Cuthbert, Prudential Carolina; Mike Grant, Grant & Kuyk Law; retired Gen. John Grinalds, The Citadel; Bonny Luthy, Office Express; Dr. Allan Rashford; Jerry Young, Charleston Leadership Foundation; and Lynn Young, Lowcountry Orphan Relief.

Committee members are Cynthia O'Neal, Children's Closet administrator; Mary-Courtney Brooks and Sheri Naulty, children's events; Bonny Luthy, communications; Brenda Roberts, fundraising; Allison Aldridge Taylor and Ann Coggiola, marketing; Peggy Morse, public relations; and Lois Richter, social services liaison.
