The discussion, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Stern Center Ballroom, will feature Rabbis Anthony Holz (Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim, Reform), Ari Sytner (Congregation Brith Sholom Beth Israel, Orthodox) and Robert Judd (Synagogue Emanu-El, Conservative). The Torah is the sacred text revealed by God and has special status as the authoritative and binding canon for Jews. But how is it reconciled with contemporary Jewish life? The rabbis will reflect on the Torah, its authority and its influence on the Jewish tradition.
