Banking

Alton C. Phillips has joined the board of directors of SCBT Financial Corp., the Columbia-based parent of South Carolina Bank and Trust. Phillips is president of Carolina Eastern Inc. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial management from Clemson University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Charles Dew has joined First Citizens Bank and Trust, and Doug Deloache, Jack Meyer, Jason Biggs, Anne Esposito and Lane LaCorte have been promoted.

Dew is a commercial credit analyst in Charleston. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Presbyterian College.

Deloache is vice president and a relationship manager in the Highway 17 North branch in Mount Pleasant. He has worked for the company for a year and a half and has more than 10 years of experience in banking.

Meyer, a relationship manager in Charleston, has been promoted to branch officer. He has worked for the company since October 2005 and studied communications at Wright State University.

Biggs is assistant vice president in the Johnnie Dodds Boulevard branch in Mount Pleasant. He joined the company in June 2006 and is a business graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Esposito is assistant vice president and a relationship manager in the Meeting Street branch in Charleston. She has worked for the company since 2003 and is a fashion merchandising graduate of Virginia Tech.

LaCorte is assistant vice president and a relationship manager in the Folly Road Branch. She joined the company in January 2005. She is a financial management graduate of the University of Alabama and holds a master's degree in business administration from Charleston Southern University.

Building Supply

Ralph B. Dandridge has joined Color Wheel Paints as district sales manager for South Carolina. He has more than 33 years of experience in the textile and painting industries and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Education

Maureen Meyers, Karen Krebs Turner and Jason Trinklein have joined the Art Institute of Charleston.

Meyers is director of library services. She holds a bachelor's degree in speech and hearing science from Ohio State University and a master's degree in library and information science from Kent State University. Previously, she was a librarian at the Art Institute of Charlotte.

Krebs Turner is accounting supervisor. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from South Carolina State University and a master's degree in finance and health administration from Webster University. Previously, she was controller at Family Health Centers Inc. in Orangeburg.

Trinklein is technical support director. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the College of Charleston. Previously, he owned a computer consulting firm in New York.

Engineering

David Drost has been promoted to survey crew chief in the Charleston office of Arcadis G&M Inc. He joined the company in 2006 and is a civil engineering student at Trident Technical College.

Elizabeth DeLoach and Kevin McCray have joined CRG Engineering Inc. of North Charleston.

DeLoach is marketing coordinator. She has more than 18 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development, and holds a bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston.

McCray is an electrical designer. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology from South Carolina State University.

Law

Amanda Newell has joined the immigration law practice in the Charleston office of Carlock Copeland Semler & Stair. Previously, she practiced immigration law in Atlanta. She is a graduate of George Washington University Law School.

Diane Seigel, Kelley Sassard Suhr and Michelle R. Emrick have joined Pearce Law Firm LLC.

Seigel is an associate attorney. She has been in practice for more than four years and previously worked for Buist Byars Pearce & Taylor LLC. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and political science from the University of Connecticut and a J.D. degree from New York Law School.

Sassard Suhr is a senior real estate closer. She has more than 17 years of accounting and finance experience and previously was comptroller for the Charleston Naval Complex Redevelopment

Authority and a real estate closer for Buist Byars Pearce & Taylor. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina.

Emrick is a senior real estate closer. She has more than eight years of closing experience and previously was a senior real estate closer for Buist Byars Pearce & Taylor. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Morehead State University.

Media

Jesse Aguayo has joined the audio production department of Terrestrial Imagination of North Charleston.

Nonprofit

Melissa Villegas has joined the Charleston Trident Home Builders Association as director of media and marketing. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Montclair State University.

Kristy Wesolowski has joined the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce as member programs coordinator. Previously, she worked for the chamber's Education Foundation and is an Air Force veteran.

Personal care

Carrie Busch, Jennifer Ward, Jessalyn Horner, Robin Harris, Amber Thompson and Luanne Smith have been promoted at Stella Nova Spa Salon.

Busch is retail manager of the Mount Pleasant Towne Centre location. Previously, she was a retail specialist in the King Street store. Also at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre, Ward and Horner have been named senior stylists and Harris is a master stylist.

In the Summerville store, Thompson has been named creative stylist and Smith is now senior stylist.

Pharmaceuticals

Nicole Brunetti has joined Hawthorn Pharmaceuticals of Madison, Miss., as a Charleston-area marketing representative. She holds a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the College of Charleston.

Real estate

Kimber McFadden has joined I'On Group and Michael Mark Lipsmeyer has been promoted.

Lipsmeyer is chief operating officer. Previously, he was vice president of I'On Build. He studied economics at the University of Southwest Louisiana and Georgia State University.

McFadden is vice president of sales and marketing. She has more than 17 years of experience in housing as a real estate agent and as sales director for Palmetto Traditional Homes and KB Homes. She holds a bachelor's degree in French from the University of South Carolina.

Summer Mattison has joined the vacation rental department of Dunes Properties. She has four years of property management experience in the Charleston area.

Allison Taylor has joined CC&T Real Estate Services as an associate. Taylor has eight years of sales experience and previously was general sales manager for WTAT-TV.

Technology

Lyn Rowland has joined Bradford Consulting Group LLC as lead consultant. He has 10 years of experience and worked for Blackbaud and BenefitFocus.com.
