Food for every day by Martha
"Great Food Fast: Everyday Food From the Kitchens of Martha Stewart Living."
This Martha Stewart product is a compilation of 250 recipes from her small magazine, Everyday Food.
The magazine, which showed up in supermarkets in 2003, is the antithesis of her full-size, how-to glossy, Martha Stewart Living. Its focus is solely directed toward quick cooking, it showcases Stewart's talent with seasonal, fresh ingredients, and it is characterized by her ability to give each simple dish the special pizazz that has made her famous. Truly great fast food.
Paperback. Clarkson Potter/Publishers. $24.95.
"Williams-Sonoma Food Made Fast." Two of the latest in the Williams-Sonoma series, "Salad" and "Seafood," also should prove to be super time-savers.
Each of the 40 main-dish salads and seafood dishes have only three steps, and most can be made in 30 minutes; some of the salads in 20.
Particularly appealing with the farmers markets going and shrimp season on the horizon are Grilled Asparagus & Prosciutto Salad, Polenta (sauteed), Tomato & Corn Salad, Shrimp Skewers With Romesco and Oven-Fried Shrimp With Aioli.
Hardcover. Oxmoor House. $17.95 each.
