Fundraising events

The Youth Group of Holy Trinity Church (Episcopal): Car wash 3-7 p.m. today at Harborview Car Wash next to the Piggly Wiggly on Harborview Road on James Island. Donations accepted for each wash. Charleston Beer Works: Charleston Beer Works at 468 King St. will donate all of its sales and tips from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday to the fallen firefighters' fund. For more information, call 577-5885.

Wet Willie's: Wet Willie's, 209 East Bay St., will donate all of its sales Thursday 11 a.m. to closing at 2 a.m. to the families of the firefighters.

Tonik: Cellar Entertainment, in conjunction with Tonik Nightclub and Lounge, will host a benefit at 10 p.m. Friday with a silent auction. 479 King St. Questions or donations, 853-8406. Benefits the fallen firefighters' families.

Fish Fry: Sullivan's Island's annual Island Fire and Rescue Fish Fry starts at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Fish Fry Shack at Station 15. $8. Benefits the Charleston Firemen's Fund.

Musicians' firefighters benefit: 1-7 p.m. Sunday at Snapper Jack's, Folly Beach. Expected lineup: 1 p.m., Robert Paige & the Holy City Sinners; 2 p.m., Folly Beach Bluegrass Society; 4 p.m., Shrimp City Slim Blues Allstars, featuring Juke Joint Johnny, Silent Eddie Phillips and Drew Baldwin; 5 p.m., Danger Muffin; 6 p.m., the Shakin' Martinis. Restaurants: More than 35 Lowcountry restaurants and more than a dozen beverage distributors are planning a fundraiser July 8 at the Charleston Place Grand Ballroom. Auctions, entertainment, Taste of Charleston-style event. Reservations, 329-4918. Information, 810-5960 or mbakst@charlestonplace.com. $150. Benefits the firefighters' families.

Wine pairing: O'Hara & Flynn wine shop in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre will host a wine pairing. 5-7 p.m. July 11. Sparkling, white and red wines will be paired with artisan cheeses, mustards, meats and sweets. $35. RSVP to 810-0088. Benefits the Charleston Firemen's Fund.

Paintball: Paintball Charleston will host a benefit for the fallen firefighters 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 14. This event will be a 10-hour paintball game with proceeds going to the Charleston Firemen's Fund. The event is open to anyone wishing to help out with the fund as well as have a good time playing paintball. The cost to play varies but the average person will spend $65 for the day.

Golf tournament: Members of Coosaw Creek Country Club have set up a fund. They also will sponsor a fundraising golf tournament Aug. 4. Cost is $100 per person, and the club is asking for individual sponsors at $100 a hole, plus corporate sponsors. Mail checks to Charleston Firefighter Survivor Fund, Coosaw Creek Country Club, Attn: Jeff Narr, 4110 Club Course Drive, North Charleston, SC 29420. They also can be dropped off at the clubhouse or the club's administrative office. All donations are tax-deductible. Visit www.coosawcreekcommunity.net. College of Charleston: Donation boxes in the Stern Student Center. Benefits the Charleston Firemen's Fund.

Memorial service: Send contributions to fund the joint memorial service to city of Charleston, c/o Firefighters Memorial Service Fund, P.O. Box 853, Charleston, SC 29402

Bojangles' Restaurants Inc. donation: In-store donation program at five Charleston-area restaurants. Goal is $10,000. This weekend through July 31 customers can make $1 and $5 donations at restaurants. Donors will receive a Fire Department Hero Badge signature card to be inscribed with the donor's name. All proceeds will be divided among the firefighters' families.

Harbor National Bank: The board of directors and employees are contributing to the Charleston Firemen's Fund, and the bank will match those donations. Make checks payable to Charleston Firemen's Fund and mail or drop them off by Friday at Harbor National locations in West Ashley, 1503 Olde Towne Road near Publix, and 134 Meeting St. downtown. Denis Leary: Leary Firefighters Foundation (Denis Leary of "Rescue Me" on FX) is raising funds for the firefighters. All donations will be turned over without administrative fees. hstrial-tliss.homestead.com/Homepage.html.

Air Force Base: Charleston airmen have set up booths at various locations on base to collect funds for the Firefighter Relief Fund until Friday.

First Federal: Charleston Firefighters Memorial Fund. Donate at branches or mail checks to: First Federal, c/o Linda Weber, 2440 Mall Drive, North Charleston, SC 29406. Benefits the firefighters' families.

Trident United Way: The agency will match the first $10,000 given to the Charleston Firemen's Fund.

Piggly Wiggly: The Charleston Fallen Firefighter Fund has been created to raise money to support the families. Customers can make a donation at the register during checkout.

Southcoast Community Bank: The Southcoast Firefighter's Relief Fund. Cash and checks will be accepted at all branches in the Charleston area. Call 884-0504 or visit www.southcoastbank.com. Benefits the families of the victims.

Condolences

Does anyone know if there have been any t shirts made to memorialize the firefighters, with proceeds going to the IAFF or the families themselves?? If so, please contact me.
