The Navy Yard at Noisette in North Charleston has been named one of the nation's Top 10 Best Green-Built Neighborhoods by Natural Home Magazine.

Joe Baker of ALCUS Financial Group LLC of Mount Pleasant has been named one of the nation's Best Retirement Plan Advisors by Plan Sponsor Magazine.

Dick Trammell of DestinationCarolinasUSA has been appointed to the 2008 Leadership Team of the National Tour Association and named chair of the Selling NTA Product Online Task Force.

Gregory C. Harris, South Carolina State University police chief, has been elected vice president of the South Carolina Campus Law Enforcement Association.

The South Carolina Association for Higher Continuing Education has elected the following Charleston area individuals as officers and directors: Dorinda Q. Harmon, College of Charleston, president; and Yvonne Noisette, Trident Technical College, member at large.
