--Lowcountry Mopars is among the sponsors of a Sunday Cruise to Santee. The event is open for all auto hobby fans and special interest vehicles. --A Classic Cruise-In sponsored by Lowcountry Mopars will be held 6-8:30 p.m. at Ryan's restaurant on U.S. Highway 17A in Summerville. Classes include trucks, Corvettes, Mustangs, street rods and years 1900-63, 1964-74 and 1975-2007. Entry fee is $5 per vehicle. Contact Betty Harris at 797-3246 for more information.

Jan. 22
--The Charleston Chapter of the Sports Car Club of America will hold a beginner autocross class in the Saab training room at Rick Hendrick Imports, 1518 Savannah Highway. New autocross drivers will learn how to prepare and what to expect at their first event, from course layout to car preparation. Autocross competitions are single car versus the clock events with traffic cones lining a course in parking lots. The school begins with refreshments at 7 p.m.; the class will begin at 7:30. --The South Carolina region of the Sports Car Club of America will hold a novice autocross practice at Summerville High School. It is strongly recommended that new drivers attend the classroom session Jan. 22. Go online to www.scsportscar.com.
Jan. 27
--The South Carolina region of the Sports Car Club of America will hold a local autocross at Summerville High School. The event is open to licensed drivers with a car that meets a basic safety inspection. Cars compete one at a time on a course lined with traffic cones. Classes are based on the car's potential and driver's experience. Novice drivers are strongly recommended to attend the classroom session Jan. 22 and the practice Jan. 26.
