Automotive

Cheryl Bolen has joined Glasspro Inc. as an internal sales representative.

Education

Jack Shortridge has been named assistant director of the Charleston campus of Webster University. He is also the state counseling director for the school's campuses in South Carolina. He has more than 30 years of experience in mental health administration and clinical practice, mainly with the Department of Defense. He holds a doctorate from Indiana University.

Nonprofit

Ron Glover, Kevin Carpentier, Dale Orren and Mike Atkinson have been promoted at Advanced Technology Institute, an affiliate of the S.C. Research Authority.

Glover is senior vice president. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a master's degree in business administration from Brenau University.

Carpentier is vice president, advanced maritime technology, and remains director of the Center for Naval Shipbuilding Technology. He holds a bachelor's degree in ocean engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a master's degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Orren is a program manager and deputy director in the shipbuilding center. He holds a bachelor's degree in human resources management from New School University and a master's degree in business administration from Touro University International.

Atkinson is a program manager in the strike-up/strike-down program. He holds a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering from Thomas Edison State College.

Karen Forman has joined Lutheran Hospice as admissions social worker for the Mount Pleasant and Ladson offices. Previously she was a certified guardian ad litem and a social worker for Southern Care Hospice, and worked for Growing Home of South Carolina, the Medical University of South Carolina, Tri-county Hospice, Hospice of Summerville and Presbyterian Hospital. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from William Smith College, a postgraduate degree in behavioral neuroscience from Cornell University and a master's degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania.

Hester C. Allison has joined Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic Inc. as executive director in charge of the clinic, scheduled to open later this year. Previously she led outreach programs for Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church on Johns Island as a volunteer, was senior vice president of Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina and was director of contracts for Goodwill Industries of Miami Valley in Ohio.

Jennifer DeWitt has joined the Lowcountry Manufacturers Council as executive director. Previously she was business development manager for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Promotional

Autumn Carter has joined Grand Ideas Inc. as payables and receivables clerk. Previously she was accounts receivable and payable clerk for Carolina Muffler & Brake and store manager for Sweet Repeats Consignments.

Public Relations

Mary Frash has joined Obviouslee Marketing as an account executive. She holds a degree in communication from Loyola University Chicago and previously worked for Wagstaff Worldwide Inc. in Chicago.

Real Estate

Steve Craver and Jillian Findlay have joined I'On Group.

Craver is vice president of I'On Build. Previously he was a project manager for John Wieland Homes in Charleston and a builder for Centex Homes in San Diego. He attended Ohio State University and Ohio Dominican University and holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Florida.

Findlay is closing coordinator and provides sales support to I'On Realty. Previously she was a real estate assistant and a manager of the real estate title division in North Carolina. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware.

Betty Buford and Amy Jolley have joined the downtown Summerville office of AgentOwned Realty.

Barnett Greenberg and Anissa Stark have joined Prudential Carolina Real Estate.

Greenberg joins the Coleman Boulevard office in Mount Pleasant. He holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Stark joins the Main Street office in Summerville. She has extensive sales experience and six years of real estate experience.

Amy Williams has been

promoted to portfolio manager at Beach Management, the property management division of the Beach Co. Previously she was lease administrator for three years.

Lori Ridgeway and Frankie Liady have joined Century 21 Properties Plus Inc.

Ridgeway joins the North Charleston office. Previously she worked for Prudential Carolina Real Estate and was a jewelry manager and pawnbroker for Money Man Pawn Shops.

Liady joins the Summerville office. She has more than 20 years of experience in investments and accounting, and owns Marigolds in Summerville. Previously she worked for Prudential Carolina Real Estate. She studied accounting at the University of Hawaii.

Dan Anderson, Rodney Hamilton, Mary Grace Katherman, Caroline Leonard, Charley Hamrick and Anthony Rapisarda have joined Keller Williams Realty as residential sales specialists.

Anderson, Hamilton and Katherman join the Mount Pleasant office.

Anderson has experience as an account executive and holds a business administration/ marketing degree from Bryant College.

Hamilton holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from St. Augustine's College.

Katherman previously was an event marketing coordinator for Blackbaud Inc. She holds a bachelor's degree in corporate business from the College of Charleston.

Leonard, Hamrick and Rapisarda join the Island Group.

Leonard previously worked for the Department of Defense at Fort Bragg, N.C. She holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and formerly owned an investigation business in Charlotte.

Hamrick previously worked for NBC News Channel as a freelance writer. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Rapisarda holds a bachelor's degree in communication and theater from Monmouth University.

Restaurant

Ryan Herrmann has joined the Boathouse on East Bay as chef. Previously he was executive chef for Patrick Properties, owner of Fish, the American Theater and the William Aiken House; and was a chef at Coast and 39 Rue de Jean, and sous chef at Pho Pasteur, Euno and Pignoli in Boston. He is a graduate of the New England Culinary Institute.

Caroline Jackson has joined Fish restaurant as general manager. She holds a degree in cuisine, pastry and wine from Le Cordon Bleu and a degree in liberal arts from St. John's College in Santa Fe, N.M.
