People have spoken: 'B.C.' by a landslide
Last week, The Post and Courier asked readers to decide the fate of two comic strips, 'B.C.' and 'Shoe.' The winner would return to the comics section. So, welcome back, Grog. You've been missed.
'B.C.' essentially routed 'Shoe' by a 2-1 margin. By Friday morning's cutoff, 'B.C' had received 1,051 votes, while 'Shoe' got 542 votes, meaning 'B.C.' will replace 'F-Minus' starting Monday in the daily paper and Aug. 26 in the Sunday comics section.
'My choice is by far for 'B.C.,' ' Elizabeth Miller wrote. 'I was born in Charleston many years ago. Grew up with The News and Courier and The Charleston Evening Post. : Therefore I am one of the many who are averse to change and proud of it.'
Others preferred reinserting both strips. 'Why not ask me to decide which of my children I want to send to the executioner?' Herb Boland wrote. 'With heavy heart, I choose to keep 'B.C.' '
'Shoe' had its advocates. 'I vote for 'Shoe,' ' Ben Miehe wrote. 'I thought you dropped 'Shoe' because it was too much like the P&C staff.'
Nah, Ben, nobody would wanna see that. Nobody.

Congratulations to B.C. comic readers and P&C for listening to the readers comments by offering a poll.
I still don't understand why it had to disappear in the first place, while visiting in Pa, both B.C. and Shoe were
still in the comic section. Must have been a personal choice by one of the P&C department staff.
