The case for DeAndre

Posted 11:23 p.m., June 25, 2008

Managed to obtain a copy of the witness statements I referred to in a post earlier today, and this is the first chance I've gotten to post them.

These statements, which were provided by a person who his close to the investigation, are from three people who claim to have witnessed parts of the incident that occurred last Saturday between DeAndre McDaniel and his girlfriend.

The names of the witnesses have been omitted at the request of the person who provided the statements to me. And it is important to understand that I cannot verify their authenticity or admissibility in court.

Nevertheless, I thought the details would be of interest to you folks. So here goes:

WITNESS NO. 1:

On the morning of June 21, I was staying over at DeAndre's place sitting on the couch downstairs. About 7:15 a.m. I awoke to DeAndre McDaniel and his girlfriend yelling and screaming at each other.

Knowing that couples in general argue from time to time, I paid the arguing no mind. But then I heard DeAndre's girlfriend saying put me down, put me down. When I looked up, I saw DeAndre carrying her down the stairs. I heard DeAndre say, I've repeatedly asked you to leave, but you won't leave, I just want you to leave my house. As DeAndre was bring(ing) her down the stairs, he kept saying let it go, let it go, but she kept grabbing on to something, so DeAndre put her down after the first flight of stairs.

Once he put her down, he said that if she didn't want to leave that way, then he would go ahead and get all of her things and put them into her car and get rid of her that way. After he put most of her things on top of her car, he then came back in the house and went up to his room and noticed that she had locked herself in his room and refused to open it.

He repeatedly asked her to open the door, but she remained locked in his room. He came downstairs and sat down. I asked him was everything OK and he said yes. About 10 minutes later, she opened the door. She said she had gotten some of her things out of his room. She said that she had gotten coach Vic's number off of his phone and that she was going to call him and the police. DeAndre responded by saying I don't care, call who you want.

They then walked down the stairs and parted ways. DeAndre went into the kitchen and she walked towards the door. When she noticed that he was walking towards the kitchen, she then turned around and followed him into the kitchen. He then tried to get her things out of the kitchen but she said she wanted to get her things herself. He said OK, then she said forget it and walked out of the house.

As she walked (past) me leaving, I did not notice any bruises or anything on her. She looked normal to me. In fact, smiling like nothing had happened. Once she got to the door, she started to yell and one thing she yelled was you will regret this.

WITNESS NO. 2:

On June 21st, 2008 at 6:30 a.m. I was woken up by a loud argument between DeAndre McDaniel and (name omitted). They were saying stuff about another girl and how DeAndre was getting other girls phone numbers and what not. So me being DeAndre's roommate I thought of it as nothing less than an argument, so I didn't even think of going downstairs to stop it.

It is not the first time they have argued, actually by me knowing both of them the way I do, I can honestly say that it is a common action between the two, and I have witnessed most of them, and never once has he hit her or hurt her in any way.

I didn't hear anything that would sound like a brutal attack or anything like that. So I just stayed out the way because I figured that nothing violent had happened since I didn't hear any type struggles.

WITNESS NO. 3:

I was woken up by someone beeping the horn outside, Saturday morning, June 21, 2008, around 7 a.m.

I got up to see who it was and saw (name omitted) walking to her car (Camry), which was parked outside my window. I saw her laughing as she stated, "I'm just going to leave I know the law, my mom or relative has been working with that stuff for about 20-30 yrs, so I know I'm not going to be the one going to jail."

I saw her continue to giggle as she got in her car and then she drove away.

WOW. If this pans out like I think it will, she should be charged with everything possible. Punishment for using the justice system as your personal tool of revenge should be severe.

Larry, I applaud you for reporting both sides of the story.

As I posted earlier, none of us (and I'm as guilty as the next) should jump to conclusions lest we forget the Duke Lacrosse case.

The allegations are very serious and the police acted appropriately. Just curious about the injuries suffered by the young lady and verified at the hospital.

I would like for people to understand that of course he's going to say that he didn't do it. Just because these statements say that they didn't see him hit her doesn't mean that he didn't-it just means that they didn't "see" it. I also think that we should keep in mind that these are probably football players and they don't want to see their "boy" get into trouble. I hope that they were advised of their rights before making their statements. There is something called purgery that they can be charged with for lying to cover up for him. So I hope they put a lot of thought into this because their statments will be picked apart word for word. Also, i'm very curious of how she got these injuries if he claims he never touched her. He's a liar and a coward. DeAndre-where you are going, just make sure you have plenty of vaseline and remember, don't drop the soap!

Food For Thought-I'm sure the Clemson students, alumni and fans should have clarification on how DeAndre's legal fees are being taken care of. I'm sure Clemson would NEVER use and abuse any of the university or athletic department's money to pay for any of this just because he's a football player.(yeah, right!) I'm sure the university practices better values than that! Plus, he's not that great of a player anyway. Someone else that appreciates their scholarship and respects women can easily play that position and make the clemson fans very proud!

Wow Sasha, your stupidity is showing in your post. Maybe you should re-read it. You sound like someone with:

A) A low IQ
B) An agenda

and

C) ties to the "victim"
