All Things Bryce

It Beats Working

It Beats Working

"It beats working" is the original column that started this whole train wreck in the first place. The premise is simple: Bryce takes things he's seen or done and then recounts those experiences in a way that can only be described as "exhilarating." By which we mean "confusing." But don't just take our word for it. According to his mother, the column, which runs in Charleston Scene every week, is "easily the fifth or sixth best thing in the Thursday paper."

Family Life

Family Column

At some point in his life, Bryce tricked a woman into marrying him and procreating. Now, on Mondays in the Family Life section he writes about just how different his life has become as a result. In doing so he hopes to not only connect with other parents who might be going through some of the same things, but also to give his son something to talk about in therapy when he grows up.

15 Minutes with Bryce

People Column

If you enjoy the hard-hitting interviewing style of Barbara Walters, you'll most definitely hate Bryce's People page column, where every Saturday he sits down with a local celebrity and asks them every single random question he can think of. Once in a while he accidentally asks something interesting. But usually not.

The Bryce is always right

Calling all "Donofans"

If you read Bryce's blog or column, boy does he want you. On his map. Want you on his map. (Whew, that was close.) Anyway, the reason he mentions this is because it's been a dream of his for at least the last 45 minutes to have readers in all 50 states. So e-mail him (bdonovan@postandcourier.com) your name, city and state and he'll put you up on the big map. And then probably show up at your house for dinner.
