North Charleston police seeking men who attempted to rob grocery store

The North Charleston Police Department is seeking four males who attempted to rob a Rivers Avenue grocery store on Monday.

Four black males entered the Red & White Food Store at 6550 Rivers Ave. just after 10 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk. Two of the men were armed with handguns, according to police.

The suspects, all of whom had shirts wrapped around their heads, fled empty-handed, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111 or the North Charleston Police Department.
