A new shopping strip under development across from Tanger Outlet Center will bring four more retail businesses to the busy area of North Charleston.
RealtyLink, a Greenville-based commercial real estate firm, is developing the small shopping strip on a 1-acre property along Centre Point Drive between IHOP and Qdoba Mexican Grill.
The four-unit strip will include Carolinas TelCo Federal Credit Union, Sports Clips and an AT&T store, according to Charles Fitzhenry of Real-tyLink, who is handling the lease agreements. The fourth unit, a 2,800-square-foot space, has not yet been leased, he said.
A majority of construction is expected to wrap up in November, when tenants will move in to customize their spaces, according to Fitzhenry.
House of Sage, a boutique for men's and women's apparel in downtown Charleston, will make a brief appearance in North Charleston this week.
The store will host a pop-up shop from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Flats at Mixson, a new residential development near Park Circle. The event in the Clubroom at 4501 Mixson Ave. will include complimentary wine and refreshments, and all items will be 15 percent off.
Also this week, several downtown retailers are partnering to host a social media-centered event billed as "Sip, Selfie, Shop." The party will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Finicky Filly at 303 King St. and its sister store, Haute Hanger, a few doors down at 307 King.
Both stores will offer 20 percent off all dresses and O-Ku will serve free sushi rolls and sangria to shoppers. Bellelina Skincare and Makeup Studio will be on site to give attendees free mini-makeovers.
Those who post photos during the event on social media with the tag #hautefilly will be entered to win a gift certificate to Finicky Filly, Haute Hanger or O-Ku.
