LANCASTER, S.C. - Authorities are looking for an attempted murder suspect who escaped from a Lancaster County deputy as he was walking into the county jail.
Investigators said in a news release that 23-year-old Deqwon Blackmon ran into the woods around 4 p.m. Friday and hasn't been seen since.
Deputies had just arrested Blackmon on an attempted murder charge. Authorities say he was involved in the shooting of three people in a vehicle a week ago.
Investigators say Blackmon didn't have a weapon when he escaped but should be considered dangerous.
Agents and a helicopter from the State Law Enforcement Division are helping deputies look for Blackmon.
