COLUMBIA - Tom Ervin, the independent candidate for governor, announced Wednesday a series of 23 open town hall meetings over a little less than two weeks.

They include several in the Charleston area on Sept. 5 and are open to the public and media.

"Tom will share his vision of common sense reform across South Carolina," said Christian Hertenstein, press secretary for the Ervin campaign.
