A panel of political scientists said incumbent Gov. Nikki Haley is likely to win reelection in November, according to a story posted on The State's website.
The experts were speaking Thursday at a forum at the University of South Carolina, the story said. Two of the five political scientists at the forum were willing to offer predictions on the race and both forecasted a 10-percentage-point win for Haley. But her challenger, state Sen. Vincent Sheheen of Camden, could pull off an upset if he is able to get a large turnout of his supporters, the experts added.
