Timberland is the highest ranked Lowcountry team in the preseason high school football media poll released this week.

The Wolves, who open their season next week against visiting Hanahan, are ranked No. 4 in Class AA. Coach Art Craig's team went 10-3 last year and made the Lower State finals.

In Class AAAA, Summerville is ranked No. 7 and Goose Creek No. 10.

In the AAA poll, Hanahan is No. 9.
