Charleston Battery midfielder Jose Cuevas was named the Player of the Week in the USL Pro Division.
Cuevas had two goals and added two assists as the Battery defeated both Orange County Blues FC (3-2) and the Rochester Rhinos (2-1) last week.
The Battery, which was in last place just a month ago, move up to sixth place in the USL PRO standings last week.
Cuevas, the 2012 USL Rookie of the Year, scored on two penalty kicks during the week and added assists on two Dane Kelly's goals.
Kelly, who has seven goals on the season, was named to the USL Team of the Week.
Cuevas has three goals and two assists since joining the team in mid-July and has helped lead the Battery to a 4-1-3 mark during that stretch.
"Jose has been a big part of our success recently," said Charleston coach Mike Anhaeuser. "He's certainly given us that little extra bit of quality in the midfield that we were lacking earlier in the season."
