A suspect has been arrested after fires were set at two Berkeley County schools last weekend.
Patrick Joseph Coxe, 20, was arrested Monday and charged with three counts of third-degree arson, second-degree burglary and malicious damage to property, Berkeley County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dan Moon said.
Several fires were started in the Goose Creek and Ladson areas, including fires at Stratford High School and College Park Elementary School. Goose Creek police put out a surveillance photo of a suspect Monday.
Goose Creek police and the Sheriff's Office worked together on the investigation, Moon said.
Coxe is being held in the Berkeley County jail on $112,105 bail on the arson, burglary and malicious damage charges. He also faces a drug possession charge by the Goose Creek Police Department, which added $620 to his bail.
