Both the Dorchester 2 and Berkeley County school boards will get at least two new faces this fall.
In Dorchester 2, which is a nonpartisan, at-large board, longtime board members Charles Stoudenmire and Frances Townsend are giving up their seats.
In Berkeley, which is also nonpartisan, District 2 representative Doug Cooper and District 6 board member Sheldon Etheridge are not seeking re-election.
Friday was the deadline to file to run in Berkeley County and the deadline to certify the candidates in Dorchester 2.
Running for the Dorchester 2 board are incumbents Gail Hughes, who currently serves as board chairwoman, and Tanya Robinson, board secretary. Also running are Justin Farnsworth, Evan Guthrie, Brian Mitchum and Louis Smith.
In Berkeley County, District 4 incumbent Shannon Lee faces opposition from newcomer Jeff Reuer.
Running for District 2 are Mac McQuillin and Rindy Ryan. Newcomers Tommy McPherson and Sally Wofford are facing off for District 6.
Incumbent Frank Wright is unopposed for District 8.
The elections are Nov. 4.
