Ryan Courtright, formerly of Kiawah Island Golf Resort, has joined BLU Restaurant & Bar as its executive chef.

A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania's culinary school, Courtright first joined the staff of the Ocean Course clubhouse. He was sous chef at The Atlantic Room when he took the job at BLU.

Beth Walters, publicist for BLU, anticipates Courtright releasing his first menu this fall. "(He) will focus the menu on using fresh ingredients from local farms and fish purveyors," she says.
