The latest plans for the third phase of the Palmetto Commerce Parkway will be presented at a public hearing on Sept. 10 at Stall High School, Charleston County officials said Tuesday.
The meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the school on 3625 Ashley Phosphate Road will be conducted in an open-house format with a project presentation overview at 6:30 p.m.
The PCP3 project is being designed to extend Palmetto Commerce Parkway from Ashley Phosphate Road to the current four-lane section of South Aviation Avenue near International Boulevard. It is intended to relieve traffic congestion.
Meetings with key stakeholders and the community will be crucial throughout the ongoing planning, design and permitting phases of the project, the county said.
Project staff will present alternatives that are being studied and share findings on potential impacts for the community and residents.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to review exhibits, provide written comments, and meet one-on-one with Charleston County and project team representatives.
