San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kapernick was impressed enough with Bruce Ellington in mini-camp work to gush, "Bruce has been amazing out there."
The fourth-round draft pick from South Carolina kept turning heads Thursday night in his NFL preseason debut, San Francisco's 23-3 loss to the Ravens in Baltimore. Ellington caught three passes for a team-high 35 yards, capitalizing each time he was targeted.
The Berkeley High School graduate also averaged 31 yards on two kickoff returns.
He muffed a punt in the third quarter but recovered the ball.
