Charleston police detectives have asked for the public's help in identifying the man who robbed a Johns Island pharmacy Thursday night.
The robbery happened about 9:50 p.m. at the CVS at 2803 Maybank Highway, which is east of River Road, according to the Charleston Police Department.
Surveillance cameras showed the robber, a 20-something white man who stands a little more than 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds, police spokesman Charles Francis said in a statement.
He might have had a gun at the time, Francis said. The robber got away with some prescription drugs, Francis said.
People who recognize the man in the surveillance footage or who have information about the crime should call the Police Department at 843-743-7200 and ask for the on-duty central detective.
Others can remain anonymous and might be eligible for reward by submitting tips through Crime Stoppers of the Lowcountry at 843-554-1111.
