Charleston police are asking for help finding a driver involved in a hit-and-run Saturday night.

A Ford Explorer hit a pedestrian at 10:52 p.m. on King Street near Carolina Street, according to a police statement. The pedestrian was injured, and the driver left the scene. The Explorer was a late 1990s metallic red or burgundy model that likely has damage to the front grill area.

Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 965-4084 or 901-3746.
