Colleton County sheriff's deputies have released more details about a nightclub shooting that wounded two people early Sunday morning.
An altercation in a parking lot prompted an exchange of gunfire around 3 a.m. at the Classics Social Club at 2444 Robertson Blvd., an incident report stated.
A man and woman were shot in their legs in the shooting. They were both treated at Colleton Medical Center for their injuries.
Two other people were struck by vehicles while trying to escape the gunfire, deputies said. A few others were treated for breathing problems related to pepper spray inside the club.
According to deputies, five vehicles were hit with bullets during the incident. A member of the club's security also fired a shotgun to help disperse the crowd in the parking lot, deputies said.
No suspects have been identified in the shooting.
