North Charleston police are investigating an armed robbery Friday night at a pharmacy.

A masked man stormed into the CVS at 8995 University Blvd. and demanded money around 9 p.m., according to an incident report.

The suspect wore a long-sleeved black shirt, a black hat, blue jeans, brown shoes and a ski mask, the store's clerk reported to police.

The man also wore a black glove on his left hand, according to the report. A plastic bag covered his right hand.

No weapon was seen during the robbery, police said, but the man gestured with the bag as though he were armed.

The suspect ran from the store and into a nearby wooded area.

The man's shirt, a hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask were located during a search of the woods, police said.

A suspect had not been identified Monday afternoon.
