Hires and promotions



Judy Stephens has joined McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture's Charleston office as a project architect and project manager in the firm's health care studio. She has more than 20 years of design and project management experience. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture and Planning.

Auto glass

Park Hoey and Dean Ard have joined Glasspro. Hoey is a customer service representative. Ard is an auto glass technician.


Andrew Smyre, Leigh-Marie Thorne and Olivia Lyberg have joined Davis & Floyd's North Charleston office.

Smyre has a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of South Carolina. He is a registered engineer in training.

Thorne is a registered engineer in training and has two years of industry experience. Previously, she was with Jay Cashman Inc. She has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Vermont.

Lyberg is project administrative assistant. Previously, she was a graphics and communications coordinator for Boomtown Casino in Biloxi, Miss. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi.

Health care

Dr. Joanna Ghegan has joined Focus-MD in Mount Pleasant as a physician. She completed a residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and has worked as a pediatric and adolescent physician. She has experience in evaluating and treating ADHD.


Susannah Runkle has joined Rawle Murdy Associates as a public relations and social media account executive. Previously, she was marketing coordinator at Maverick Southern Kitchens. She has a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of South Carolina.


Sara Perry has joined the Tri-County Cradle to Career Collaborative as communications director. Previously, she was operations manager for the College of Charleston School of Education, Health and Human Performance and vice president of operations for the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. She has a bachelor's degree in integrated marketing communications from Winthrop University and a master's degree in public administration from the College of Charleston.


Dr. Christopher Holstead has joined Jackson Davenport Vision Center in downtown Charleston.

Real estate

Grace Borland and Elke Pizzo have joined Carolina One Real Estate in Mount Pleasant.

Borland is based in the Long Point Road office. She has a bachelor's degree in math and computer science from the University of California-Los Angeles. Previously, she worked in information technology sales and management and in commercial real estate investment and sales.

Pizzo is based in the Coleman Boulevard office. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northeastern University.

Elizabeth Ramsay Dickinson has joined the Cassina Group's downtown Charleston office as an agent. Previously, she was with Carolina One Real Estate and Greystar Real Estate Partners.

Leigh Stephens has joined Southern Shores Real Estate Group in West Ashley as lead field service coordinator of Southern Shores Construction & Maintenance. Previously, she was operations manager for a heating, ventilation and air-conditioning company. Also, Danielle Faulk joined the firm's Summerville office as administrative coordinator.


Kayla Strasser has joined Hire Quest LLC, the franchisor of Trojan Labor and Acrux Staffing, as national sales manager based in Charleston. Previously, she was a technical recruiter with TEK Systems. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia.
