North Charleston police officers were looking for a man who robbed a bank on Dorchester Road Thursday morning.
He walked into the CresCom Bank at 8485 Dorchester Road and demanded money around 11:30 a.m., police spokesman Spencer Pryor said. The bank is near the Appian Way intersection.
The robber was described as a slim black male more than 6 feet tall, wearing black pants, a green hooded sweatshirt and a towel covering his head. He displayed a gun in his waistband and threw a bag to the teller stating "give him the money," Pryor said. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and ran into a nearby wooded area.
Police released photos taken from a bank camera.
