CLEMSON - Fall camp opens Friday, as Clemson officially begins final preparations for the 2014 college football season.
The team is scheduled to hold 20 fall camp sessions, each lasting approximately two and a half hours, on 16 different days. Two-a-days are slated for Aug. 8, 11, 13 and 18, when the team will have a pair of practices shorter than two hours.
The Tigers will go with afternoon practices the first week, then sprinkle in some morning sessions beginning with their first scrimmage at Memorial Stadium on Aug. 9, a Saturday.
The final fall camp session is Aug. 19, with the first day of school occurring Aug. 20. Game week practices focusing on the Aug. 30 season opener at Georgia will commence soon thereafter.
Practices are closed to the public. The media will have a few 30-minute viewing sessions, mostly of stretching and individual drills.
Fan Appreciation Day is Sunday, Aug. 17.
