The Smoke-Free Lowcountry Coalition will hold a free workshop 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 5 on making multi-unit housing smoke-free.
The workshop will cover the process of adopting a smoke-free policy.
Prohibiting smoking in multifamily housing, such as apartment complexes, can reduce the risks of fires, reduce costs due to maintenance and turnover, and offer more satisfaction for current and new residents, who won't be exposed to cancer-causing secondhand smoke, the group said.
The event will be at Crown Plaza Charleston Airport, located at 4831 Tanger Outlet Boulevard in North Charleston.
Please RSVP by today at 876-2437 or smokefree email@example.com
