A man who was shot in the foot early Saturday morning at a Berkeley County nightspot refused to cooperate with investigators who were trying to figure out what happened, a sheriff's spokesman said.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office was notified at 3:15 a.m. that shots had been fired at Club Zone on County Line Road in Cross, according to a news release from sheriff's spokesman Dan Moon.
When deputies arrived, they found spent shell casings on the ground and several people at the scene, but nobody was willing to offer any information as to what had happened, the release said.
A short time later, an Orangeburg County Sheriff's deputy called from Orangeburg Medical Center to report that a person had come to that hospital with a gunshot wound to his foot.
When Berkeley County investigators went to speak to the victim, he refused to offer any information concerning what had occurred and would not cooperate with them, the release said.
Anyone with information about the shooting should call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111 or the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at 843-719-4465
