Mount Pleasant police unveiled a new Crime Prevention vehicle Thursday.

The silver 2015 Ford Escape is covered with various crime-fighting tips, such as "lock it (or) lose it."

The vehicle will hit the streets Monday and will be on display Aug. 5 during National Night Out, according to Inspector Chip Googe.

Mount Pleasant's National Night Out is from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Park West swim and tennis center and at the Remley Point Community Center.
