CLEMSON - The preseason all-ACC squad, as selected by the conference media Wednesday, pretty much mimicked what has already been projected about Clemson.

There are three known commodities on defense - defensive end Vic Beasley, defensive tackle Grady Jarrett and linebacker Stephone Anthony - and little else of a sure thing on the Tigers' roster.

Beasley, one of three 2013 consensus All-Americans playing college football this fall, earned a vote on 96 of the 99 ballots submitted, leading all defensive players. Anthony (third-team all-ACC in 2013) and Jarrett (honorable mention in 2013) were each the last player at their position named preseason all-ACC.

No Tiger was named to the offensive squad, based on uncertainty. Clemson has ended up with at least one all-ACC first team offensive player each of the past 10 years.

Florida State, predictably, led the way with nine of the 26 spots, including Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jameis Winston. Duke had four nods, and Virginia Tech equaled Clemson's total of three players.
