It is an alligator-eat-alligator world out there.
You might have a nice house in the woods only to have it over-run by a family of squirrels. You may feel like the big fish in the pond one day but then you're lunch the next.
It is indeed a wild life in the Lowcountry and y'all caught it so remarkably well. Our team of editors were blown away by the quality of shots this week. Thank you so much.
You'll see for yourself that it was not an easy week to pick just one photo to run in Friday's People section, but that's the cold, dark reality. In the end, our editors chose Will Milford's photo. Which would you have picked?
On to next week's assignment: Lazy days of summer.
- Send just one (1) photograph to firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Tuesday, July 29. Include your name, town and where the photo was taken. If you send us multiple photos we will select one randomly so please, just send one.
- We will allow photographs with reasonable watermarks to run in the gallery but for the winning photo that runs in the newspaper we must have a photo that does not have a watermark. If you want to send us one with the watermark (to run online) and one without (to possibly run in the newspaper) please feel free.
