Trident Literacy Association is holding an orientation and training session Saturday for new volunteers.
Volunteers will learn techniques and procedures to help adult students improve their literacy in a variety of subjects including reading, writing and math. Trident Literacy Association offers a variety of services to adult learners including basic education and literacy, GED preparation, English as a second language and computer basics. The organization serves Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties.
The volunteer training will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at 5416-B Rivers Avenue in North Charleston. Prospective volunteers should call 747-2223 to register or email email@example.com. For more information go to www.tridentlit.org.
